The Cube
Price:
$499-$1,199
Size:
The Cube is a dual heating and cooling mattress topper that is made to fit mattress sizes ranging from a Twin to a California King.
Temperature Control:
The customer is able to operate their sleep system from 55 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit. With a Cube that is a Queen or larger, each person is able to control their temperature on either side of the bed.
Product Details:
The Cube houses a water circulation system that moves water through a network of microtubes. When it comes to maintaining the desired temperature throughout the night, the water circulation system is key, as it is shown to retain temperature longer and more safely than an air or electrical system.
Miscellaneous:
The Cube is a mattress pad that simply lays over your current mattress. Couples who use the Cube are able to independently choose their sleep temperature. This actually provides them with specific temperature control of their sleep environment.
The Tempur-Pedic Comfort Solutions Line
Price:
Approximately $3,000 - $6,000 depending on the size of the mattress.
Size:
The size of the Tempur-Pedic Comfort Solutions line ranges from Twin Long to Split California King.
Temperature Control:
The consumer has no direct control over the “cooling” aspect of the mattress. However the mattress’s ability to cool refers to the fact that the TEMPUR-Breeze™ Cooling material does not retain heat and draws excess heat away from the body.
Product Details:
The mattress is structured as follows - the top cover of the mattress includes TEMPUR-Breeze™ Cooling material and moisture-wicking fabric, while the comfort layer with more TEMPUR-Breeze™ Cooling material dissipates heat during the night.
Miscellaneous:
The Tempur-Pedic Comfort Solutions line is advertised “for couples with different needs or those who sleep hot”. In regards to working for “couples with different sleep needs”, the Choice Supreme and Choice Luxe mattresses are the only two mattresses in the Comfort Solutions line that allow couples to control the firmness of their side of the bed. Couples do not have direct control over their sleep temperature.
Although many mattress lines claim to have products made with “moisture-wicking fabric”, the Cube is a product that actually allows consumers to have direct control over their sleep temperature. It could also be seen as an inexpensive long-term investment in comparison to Tempur-Pedic’s Comfort Solutions Line.
