Replying to @benjihyam, @eightsleep and @ChiliSleep: Mine is a pad that goes under the fitted sheet, water cooled. I set that sucker to 68 deg each night and I sleep like a middle aged man after he crushed a 6-pack of Coors Light. Yeah, that good.

I have used many devices to help synchronize my body temperature with my wife's. This one, by far, has been the best. Bedjet is good but my air seemed to always make its way to the other side of the bed. This provides a consistent, non-intrusive, low-temperature option.

I think OOLER wins by a landslide if it’s just one person who wants cooling. I dont think there is a half king/half queen option for Eight Sleep. Only I want cooling, and ChiliSleep sells Half King/Half Queen mattress pads.

Chilipad and OOLER are awesome ... I normally don't write reviews but when I hear of people buying the bedjet, I cringe. This does what the bedjet can't, which is cool you off between you and the matress. Oh. And don't expect it to be perfect in the first 5 min. Give it 10 min to work, then after it cools down, it will be perfect for the rest of the night.

I have an OOLER, and can say that I would choose it over the 8pod anyday. You can customize the temperature of the OOLER to ANY schedule you can imagine. From subtle/long temperature transitions to abrupt/fast, or having the OOLER being warm before you get into bed, all for $1,000 cheaper than the 8pod.

I’m in Texas. I used to sleep with the AC on at 63. Now it gets set to 71-72. I set the chilipad to 60 and it does the job. Also bought a bedjet to compare how it would cool, btw. That lasted 1 night. I unplugged it and put the chilipad back on my bed. This thing is awesome.

What I appreciate most is the fact that no air blows on you while you sleep. This can be very drying for skin. I love that you use a quilt or blanket. It is comforting. Also the ChiliSleep staff are a great asset - returning calls and assisting you the same day. I would recommend the chiliPAD to every person considering one.

My wife and I are getting the best nights sleep we have had in a long time. We had purchased a Bedjet and were very disappointed. We searched about and found the Chilipad.

Previously I had a BedJet system but as it warmed up that didn’t keep me cool, so I decided to switch to OOLER. Let me tell you, it was a fantastic decision bc the OOLER definitely keeps me cool, so cool I’ve had to adjust it up most nights ...

Today we will compare the Cube to Eight Sleep, the mattress cover that can also cool your bed.
Read MoreLet’s take a look into the differences between these systems. For example, BedJet uses air, which is less thermally efficient than water.
Read More1. Mattress as base
2. Cool Mesh mattress pad (connecting tubes can go at the head or foot of the bed)
3. Fitted sheet over the mattress pad
4. Top sheet, blanket, or duvet on top
5. Fill the control unit with water -- the control unit can be placed next to or under your bed
